Visit and Data Collection at the Incineration Plant in Luqiao District, Taizhou

On October 21st 2019, the URA research team focusing on the investigation of Material Cycles in the Huangyan-Taizhou region (WP 3) experienced a successful visit to Luqiao District's incineration plant in Taizhou City. Key data of selected material types were collected and a better understanding of contemporary recycling approaches was achieved. Guided by Ms Jie Cui and Mr Shao, the team visited both the incineration and wastewater sections of the centre where they were able to gain insight into wastewater sources and types, heating values of waste, and the current wastewater treatment processes in the area. The collected data will support URA's aim to develop sustainable material flow pathways throughout further research phases.
